MY NOTES
Fairy tale - ALTYNSHASH
chapter III
Сold, drizzling rain. The road from Minsk to Chatyn, Belarus, 1990. Bus was filled the students with two teachers, I have taken the tour to know the places of military glory of fearless soldiers who protected the world from the nazis.
There was a sky covered with heavy gray clouds by the road to Chatyn. A sky was going to cry on the monuments Cemetery villages, Wall of Sorrows. There were a cold wind with the black clouds preparing for a heavy downpour. "Wall of Sorrows - this block of reinforced concrete with niches in which the memorial plates are called 66 major death camps which built by the nazis, these camps of mass death. Further there were three birch trees symbolizing life and there was fourth place of Eternal Flame. And also there was the Tree of Life with a list of 433 villages burnt fascists invaders and restored after the war."*
I stood near the Eternal Flame, a clod of tears came to throat and I remembered my two grandfathers, who were veterans of the Second World War and returned to home with a victory in 1945. My Ukrainian grandfather served as tank commander when he defended the land from fascist invaders in Second World War. My Kazakh grandfather was the descendant of Ablai Khan ( Turkistan 1771–1781 reign ) by the kinship care and served in the infantry when he defended the land from fascist invaders in Second World War. I have not seen my Kazakh grandfather alive. But I got two gifts from him : writing poetry and graduated by excellent the exam of the course of higher mathematics in institute. After the war, my Kazakh grandfather worked as the principal of the Kazakh school, he was a good mathematician and wrote poetry.
